Technical support is available for MATLAB, SIMULINK, and our application toolboxes and blocksets.

In addition to providing support, the Technical Support Department develops the following tools:

These are the same tools that Technical Support uses to answer questions when you call or write. By using these tools, you will be able to quickly and conveniently answer most questions on your own.

Required Information

Whenever you contact Technical Support, please include (or have available) the following information:

  1. MATLAB Access Number
  2. License Number or Serial Number
  3. Version of MATLAB (obtained by typing ver at the MATLAB prompt)
  4. Version of Operating System and Window Manager
  5. Version of Toolbox (if the inquiry is related to a Toolbox)
  6. Your name
  7. Company or University name
  8. Phone number, e-mail address, or fax number
  9. A brief example that demonstrates the problem

Providing us with this information, will greatly reduce the amount of time required to research and respond to your inquiry.
